pascale pocono biz Hello! Welcome to Pocono Biz. My name is Pascale Le Bris. My journey with computers began in the ’80s with a Commodore 64. We had a bunch of games on floppy disks along with a word processing program. I think it was WordPerfect. Our printer paper had perforated sides lined with holes. It was just a computer and I was a kid who liked to beat games, practice typing, did a little coding and explored word processing.

Then came the INTERNET (Prodigy and AOL) in the mid-90s. That was an amazing and incredible time. There weren’t any cell phones or Wifi back then – only home landlines that allowed us to go online through a phone jack. Whenever I went online, our entire family’s outside form of communication was blocked. Anyone trying to call us would get a busy signal! It was a struggle that was paid for by the hour. But I spent lots of time venturing into the “new frontier” which was the WWW (World Wide Web) and was fortunate enough to be a spectator to the beginning of Amazon, Yahoo, eBay and Google. It was fascinating, to say the least.

It wasn’t until around the turn of the millennium when I really started to discover the vast amount of services and info out there and what I could do with it. Angelfire was a big one to actually create a website. Then came the start of social media, which for me was Friendster. Music “for free” from Napster and Limewire. Messengers like AIM and Yahoo Messenger. Newsgroups and Forums. Myspace soon after. Facebook killed Myspace. Then the rest is history.

Currently, I love to create things on my PC. My happy place is at my desk with Google Chrome and Adobe products. I want to share what I have to offer with the Pocono small business community. I genuinely feel I can be of service and help the area grow.

I live in the beautiful Pocono Mountains with my husband (my co-captain), our two teen daughters and my desk cat, Dezzie. There’s a special place in my heart for small and independent local businesses. I grew up in a small business. I understand it. And I know the importance of a small business having a great online presence in the 2020’s! Crazy, right?
